Our school held elections to select the ‘Senior Girls Council’ from Std VIII and IX. The voting was for classes from VI to X.
Being an exposure to the voting system, the students were given instructions of the whole process starting from placing of ‘ink’ on the left index finger to the way of casting their votes. Contestants were given the option of writing their name on the ballot paper. The school hall turned into a polling booth where 6 voting tables were placed to enable faster voting.
Once the process ended, the results were announced.
