Theme – HEART (Cardiovascular Health)

The Yoga Day celebrations were held in the school hall on June 21, 2019. Students & teachers alike assembled in the hall with their yoga mats.
The event began with a brief history & meaning of yoga by our Head girl, followed by the common yoga protocol of using the body to discipline the mind by prayer & om chanting.
Subsequently, the various benefits of yoga for school children were enumerated, along with demonstrations by students of stds VI-IX, of the various asanas which are beneficial for students to overcome stress, stiffness, anxiety, improve concentration & combat obesity.
The programme concluded with pranayama being performed by all the students, followed by meditation. A rousing rendition of the The National Anthem culminated the celebrations.
