On Friday, July 14, 2023, our Guides of Std VIII visited the Bai Hirabai Cawasjee Health Unit (Old Age Home) as part of the Guides Day Camp. Our guides were welcomed wholeheartedly by the residents of the old age home. They were all amazed to find a quiet and peaceful atmosphere in the midst of melancholy. The visit served as an eye opening experience to our pupils where they observed warmth, willingness, strength and struggle of these elderly people. To break the monotony of the lives of the residents, our guides sang and danced and offered them goodies.
The visit made our guides appreciate the elderly and their contributions to society, and also made them aware of the challenges they face. The guides left the old age home with a sense of gratitude and respect for the residents and the staff who take care of them.
