INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY goes Virtual at Gamadia on Sunday, June 21, 2020.
Yoga can be termed as a one-size-fits all solution to fight stress and alleviate other ailments including depression and anxiety. The Pandemic has driven people to include breathing exercises in their daily lifestyle and boost the immune system. This time the theme by the government for the day said it all : ‘YOGA AT HOME, YOGA WITH FAMILY’. Yoga is one of the many extra curricular activities carried out in our school on a day to day basis. Therefore, what better opportunity to celebrate the activity on the INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY itself.
We, at Gamadia had a special session on Sunday, June 21, 2020, in which our PT cum Yoga teacher Mrs Sawant went live on YouTube at 8.30 am with a 20 minute session on Yoga for Health, Mobility and Strength. Yoga, has definitely turned out to be one of the favourite fitness regimes during the lockdown. The session was greatly appreciated by the students as well as all stakeholders as this would allow them to practice Yoga on their own time and in their chosen safe space.
