Inspiring Young Voices for a Healthy,Drug-Free Society (Drug-Free Mumbai)

As part of the Drug-Free Mumbai Programme, a series of creative and educational competitions was organised to raise awareness about the harmful effects of addiction and encourage students to adopt a healthy, responsible and drug-free lifestyle.

The Rangoli Competition and Essay Writing Competition (Marathi) were held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, followed by the Poster Competition on Friday, October 9, 2026.

Through colourful rangoli designs, students conveyed powerful messages about choosing life over drugs and building an empowered, drug-free society. The essay writing competition encouraged students to express their views on the consequences of addiction, its impact on families and society, and the importance of collective responsibility in preventing substance abuse. The poster competition provided a creative platform for students to spread awareness through meaningful illustrations and impactful slogans promoting healthy choices and a drug-free future.

The competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation and highlighted students’ creativity, awareness and sense of social responsibility. Students were selected as “Drug-Free Mumbai Youth Champions” to encourage them to become ambassadors of awareness and inspire others to say no to drugs.

These activities reinforced the message that a drug-free society begins with informed choices, responsible actions and collective efforts.
