The Guides from Std. VIII – from Bai M.N Gamadia Girls’ High School, visited The Lady Hirabai Jehangir Health Unit at Gamadia Colony, Tardeo on Friday, 24, August, 2018. The students became aware of the apathy that surrounds the old people with their children unable to take care of them in their own homes. As the inmates began to share their stories, the students got very emotional, yet the wrinkled faces were very friendly & welcomed the students with their beautiful smiles.
To break the monotony of their lives, the students presented a few songs & dances for them. They also made them sing & dance along with them. This brought cheer on their wrinkled faces. They also said that they would look forward to the School visit again. The Trustee Mrs. Freny Jehangir along with the staff is giving yeomen service to this Old Age Home through the years. The Community is really grateful to these noble souls for their selfless service.
