The National Sports Day was celebrated with great pomp by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Services on Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29, 2020 virtually. Mr. Dhananjay Mahadik, a vintage hockey player and Chatrapati Puraskar awardee, was the Chief Guest. In his addresal he radiated his source of energy to the participants through his valuable tips to strengthen team work and attract students to sports.
Many schools across Mumbai participated in the celebrations, Bai M.N Gamadia Girls’ High School being one of them. The PT teacher and students of Stds. 5 to 10 actively participated in the ‘Quiz competition’ and ‘Fit India Freedom Virtual Run’ organised by them. These activities concluded the two days celebrations with a message to remain fit, healthy and energetic specially during this unprecedented times.
