The Annual Athletic Meet not just celebrates and commemorates the victories but also imparts a lesson of sportsmen spirit, team work, hard work and time management. The pupils of Bai M. N. Gamadia Girls’ High School displayed the identical ethics and virtues during the 47th Annual Athletic Meet organized at the Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) on Friday, 29 November 2019.
Dr. Beheram J. Bunshah, a renowned doctor and a sports personality, presided as The Chief Guest on the occasion. The Principal of our school, Mrs. Zarin B. Rabadi declared the Sports Meet open to a hamper of events. The variety was exceptional; from March Past to various races, tug-of-war, and many more events. The cherry on the cake was the zealous display of Eskrima by our girls, a form of Martial Arts.
The pupils from Nursery, Lower and Upper K.G., Stds I to X (belonging to Lotus, Jasmine and Rose House respectively) actively participated in the events. Special Events/ races organized for staff, domestic staff and the spectators had a remarkable response. One of the highlights of the entire day was the excellent Music Band from Anjuman Islam School, Mumbai who were praised and appreciated by the chief guest, trustees, staff and the spectators for their skills.
Mrs. Dinmeher Bunshah gave away the prizes to all the winners. The Trophy for the Leading House was bagged by Jasmine House, they proved that the ‘Talent’ may win games, but teamwork and intelligence wins the championship.
The day was filled with fervor and excitement. Everyone present here experienced amidst thrills, shrills and cheers.
