Bai M.N.Gamadia Girls’ high school celebrated the Marathi Bhasha Diwas on 27th February, 2019, in honour of the Marathi language and in keeping with the birth anniversary of Dyanpeeth award winner poet V.V.Shirwadkar also known as “Kusumagraj”.
Marathi being the official language of the state of Maharashtra the main focus of this celebration was to promote the Marathi culture among the Gamadians. Students of the secondary section participated in the programme conducted by the Marathi teachers. The Skit in Marathi was performed by the students of Std. VII on a different theme “Addiction & ill effects of Mobile Phone “ . Riddles in Marathi on different subjects were posed to the students. Speeches and poems were recited by the students of Std. V.
The students also presented different ‘Marathi Proverbs ‘ . Towards the end madam Principal Mrs.Zarin.Rabadi appreciated the programme put up by teachers and students in Marathi.
The programme concluded by the vote of thanks followed by “Pasaydan”.
