In line with current remote learning format, the department of Education organised a comprehensive webinar on road safety for the P.T/ Maths/ Science teachers from various schools in Mumbai by education and transport department officials. The trained teacher is in turn expected to train their co-teachers and students.
The education department aims to raise responsible citizens by incorporating practice of appropriate traffic rules.
Well informed students are a great source of creating awareness among their parents and other family members too.
The department focused on infrastructure of road safety. They had a vision to develop road safety infrastructure for not only vehicles and pedestrians but also for the cyclists. They also highlighted use of signs that could be used by cyclists for their safety on road.
