A talk on ‘Fire Safety and Burns Prevention’ was conducted by Mr. Navin Vazirane and his associate Mr. Arpit Shetty from National Burns Center, Navi Mumbai under their School Education Program on Thursday, August 17, 2023. Though our Students and Teachers were the listeners, the target beneficiaries were Family members and the Community members as students were expected to spread the message.
Mr. Vazirane explained Burn injuries, its types and the degrees of burns and built up on how various circumstances at home, workplace, our surroundings can cause fire burns. He advised everyone to be cautious when handling / around fire or any substance that can cause burns. He also tipped our pupils on actions to be taken during various fire situations and burns.
Mr. Shetty, explained about Skin Donation to our pupils and also highlighted the fact that anyone over 18 years can donate skin and each donor can save 8 lives. He also appealed to pass on the information so that more and more people can be a part of this noble cause.
The entire session was informative and engaging. After the talk, based on the information received, our pupils answered the impact test.
