Hygiene Programme | November 16, 2017
Procter & Gamble conducted a ‘Health & Hygiene Programme’ to help young girls cope with the change they go through in adolescence in a confident manner and accept the right hygiene practices. The program lasted for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. The program has been very useful and has been accepted very well by students.
Children’s Day Celebration | November 14, 2017
The teachers and children remembered ‘Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’, our first Prime Minister and celebrated the love that he had for all children with a lot of fun-filled activities and delicious snacks. The children arrived at school, dressed colourfully. The children were completely immersed when they watched the movie ‘Jungle Book’ on their individual class projectors. The day was celebrated with great passion and excitement.
Musical Melodies | November 11, 2017
An exuberant ‘Musical Fund-Raising event’ was organized by the Bai M.N.Gamadia Girl’s High School, the ‘Marathi Sahitya Sangh’, at Charni Road. We planned the most effective fundraising event by rewarding hard-working students who excelled in various subjects and other pursuits encouraged at the school, following it with a fabulous musical evening by the school’s Indian music teacher ‘Viraf Daruwalla’ and his team. The chief guests were Mr. & Mrs. Padaria the parents of our SSC topper, Jinesh. There couldn’t be a more spirited way of arranging a fundraising event.

Independence Day | August 15, 2017
Independence Day is an annual observance celebrated every year on 15th August, 2017. We at Gamadia commemorated this day with an ambiance of patriotism. Our school hall was adorned with tricolor flags and the whole school echoed with slogans of ‘Jai Hind’, As students pledged to serve the nation and contribute in its progress. A skit was also presented by the secondary section depictive the efforts of freedom fighters to achieve independence. The program conducted with the signing of National Anthem.
National Science Day | February 28, 2017
To commemorate the remarkable discovery in the field of physics, i.e. ‘The Raman Effect’, we celebrated its significance with a week-long scientific activity and encouraged our children to participate in the same.

Cyber Crime Awareness | January 23, 2017
Sachin Dedhia an independent Cyber Crime Investigator & also a certified Ethical Hacker working as a Cyber Crime Investigator and also as a security expert for IT companies, Government Departments, Corporates & even individuals provided training with respect to Cyber Crime Investigations, Ethical Hacking & IT Security, Mobile Forensics etc. to our school children (Std VII to X), teachers, as well as to the PTA members on Monday.

Dove Self-Esteem Project Workshop Std V-VIII | December 20, 2016
Low confidence undermines academic achievement. The ‘Dove Self-Esteem Project’ addressed issues of body-confidence and low self-esteem. The workshop covered topics such as appearance, beauty, and body-image and examined how images of models, actors, and celebrities fabricated or manipulated to portray a perfection against which our kids often measure themselves. Most of all, the workshop helped young people develop the skills and behaviors that lead to positive self-esteem and body confidence.

Thus we hired the services of Mrs. Ganjawalla (Career Counsellor) for aptitude tests and vocational guidance to help students in knowing their inherent strengths & also to guide the students towards their ‘best-fit’ courses to get a correct career assessment.

‘Music soothes the mind and heals the heart. It flows from heaven to one’s soul’. Our school organized a fund-raiser titled ‘Musical Melodies’ on Saturday, at The Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangh from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. The singer and performer for the afternoon was our own in-house music teacher Mr. Viraf Daruwala, who treated us with soulful golden oldies and foot tapping number; thus, greatly entertaining the audience.

POGO program called Bheem’s fitness formula was organized for the primary department. Through Bheem’s fitness formula, kids learned about the value and importance of physical and mental activities which will help them to lead a healthier lifestyle.
EcoValley Nutrition and Fitness Programme
‘EcoValley Nutrition and Fitness Program’ for staff were conducted whereby, the teachers were given a talk on ‘Healthy Eating’. Their BMI was checked and a change in lifestyle was recommended. They were also educated about the benefits of green tea.
