Celebrating a Legacy of Education, Knowledge, Innovation & Social Progress- September 2026
As part of the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Bicentenary Celebration, Bai M. N. Gamadia Girls’ High School organised educational, innovative, scientific and ICT-based activities during September 2026. The activities encouraged creativity, practical learning, experimentation and technology-based learning.
1. Teacher Felicitation and Teachers’ Day Celebration
The celebration was held on 3rd September 2026 with great enthusiasm. Students presented a prayer, group dance, solo dance, poem recitation and speech to express their gratitude and appreciation towards their teachers.
2. Innovation Activity – Best Out of Waste
Primary students created useful and decorative articles using recyclable materials such as newspapers, cardboard, plastic bottles, ice-cream sticks and bottle caps. The activity promoted creativity, imagination, resourcefulness and awareness about reusing waste.
3. Science Activity – Germination of Seeds
Students conducted a simple seed germination experiment using seeds, cotton/soil and water. They observed the growth of roots and shoots over several days, developing scientific curiosity, observation and recording skills.
4. ICT-Based Activity – Digital Skills and Coding
The ICT activity was conducted from 22nd to 24th September 2026. Grades 1 and 2 practised basic computer skills such as clicking, double-clicking, drag-and-drop and keyboard usage. Grades 3 and 4 explored ScratchJr. and created simple animations using characters, movements and sequencing, developing digital confidence, creativity, logical thinking and basic coding skills.
Conclusion
The activities provided students with meaningful opportunities to learn, explore, create and express themselves. They promoted creativity, scientific curiosity, practical skills and digital awareness while making the Phule 200 Bicentenary Celebration educational and memorable.
